FRE Resources served as the Design-Build Contractor for this 256,000 SF regional corporate headquarters for DIRECTV. This project required FRE to reconfigure a vacant, seven-story facility integrating human resources, sales, and customer service. Since the client needed to occupy the customer service component of the facility (28,300 SF 300 agent seats) before the schedule completion of the call center, FRE was responsible for completing the infrastructure of the data center on an accelerated timeline. This accounted for $6 million of the $10 million data center portion to be completed in only eight weeks. This new space also called for the existing data center to be relocated and expanded without interruption into the basement of the building. In order to support the weight of the new equipment, FRE installed a new freight elevator, which served as the only path for large process piping. FRE worked with DIRECTV to complete this entire project on an expedited schedule of just seven months. FRE handled all facets of the construction process including furniture, audio/visual, access systems, data cabling, studio construction, and interior/exterior signage.
